Want to know if a car you are looking to buy has a current MOT?
You can now use the VOSA website to find out the MOT test status of a vehicle. You will be able to check:
• the date of the test
• the odometer reading (mileage)
• the expiry date of a test pass
You can check the information from this request against a VT20 test certificate or VT30 refusal certificate to confirm that it’s authentic.
To use this service you will need the vehicle registration mark along with an MOT test number from one of the following:
• VT20 test certificate
• VT30 refusal certificate
or the document reference number from
• V5C registration certificate
